A name you will know

Boots, cowboy hat, denim on denim, Travis Feutz looks the part, and now he is here to prove he belongs. The Missouri based country artist is determined to carve out a spot for himself in the country music scene; Starting with his 2021 release of Country Music Forever, followed up with a hit pair of singles, “Cowboy Songs,” and “George Jones,” and he finished out 2023 strong with the release of The Stardust Cowboys Live Album. Strongly influenced by country music from days gone by, Travis pays homage to his hero’s that have come before him. He doesn’t seek to reinvent the genre, only to build on what the founders started. Travis Feutz is walking the walk, letting the songs speak for themselves.

Rising star

Building on the momentum, 2024 looks to be a big year for Travis. With two new projects on the horizon, the first of which is a brand new EP Titled, Tales From The Old West Volume I. With this EP Travis wanted to write actual cowboy songs. There has always been something romantic about the old west and the stories that came from it. Travis set out to explore these simpler times. The myths, the legends, told around a campfire on the open prairie, passed down to the next generations through songs. This EP is just the beginning of a creative journey Travis plans to be on for a good long while. A stripped down Country & Western story telling retreat. Tales From The Old West was recorded at Centro Cellar Studios, engineered and mixed by William Reeves, Mastered by Benny Quinn out of Nashville. The Full EP is out now.

no smoke & mirrors

The first single off the EP is titled; “Utah.” The beauty of this song is that it’s told from a first person narrative. You feel like you are a fly on the wall. It’s a Bonnie and Clyde tale about two young lovers fighting for a life they want, turning to a life of crime to achieve it, because they won’t let anything stand in the way of their love. As the song unfolds you can actually feel the walls closing in on our two young outlaws. But yet, you never give up hope that they can make it out alive, and maybe, just maybe, disappear among the pines. On March 22nd come take the ride.

“Branded Man” is the second single off of the EP. If you’re a fan of the hit television show Yellowstone, then this song is for you. Released on May 3rd, the idea behind this song comes from a major theme in the television show; the idea of what being a “Branded Man’ entails. Nobody can make you wear the brand, but once you do then you’re no longer just a hired hand, you’re family. You’re no longer working a job, you’re now living a way of life. But there are rules. A man has to have a code, and if you’re familiar with the show you understand there are consequences for breaking the rules. “The brand isn’t something you earn, it’s something you live up to, and nobody ever touches a branded man.” Out on May 3rd.
