About Me
Growing up on a farm Travis saw firsthand what the genre of country music was all about. Witnessing hard work, struggle, pain, love, loss, family, and faith all helped shape him into the artist he is today. Like his heroes that have come before him, Travis seeks honesty and sincerity in his music. His songs are like stories being passed down from one generation to another. His voice and style is raw and unique, but you’ll swear you’ve heard him before in some smoke filled honky tonk on a Saturday night. Through his Missouri upbringing and Nashville teaching Travis is doing his damndest to keep the tradition of country music alive. Catch Travis and his band The Stardust Cowboys live. It’s truly an experience.
Building on the momentum, 2025 looks to be a big year for Travis Feutz and The Stardust Cowboys. The boys having been working hard in the studio over the past few months and have a brand new single releasing in March titled, “Outlaws & Armadillos. This song is a hat tip to 70’s Country Music that came out of the Austin, Texas area during the reign of the Armadillo World Headquarters. This song is a lot of fun. If it doesn’t get folks out on the dancefloor we don’t know what will. The band also has a full album titled, Country Gold waiting in the wings that will release later in 2025. This work was a labor of love. Travis wanted to create an album of traditional country songs and have many of his favorite players on the project. He wanted to make an album that took people back to when country music was truly solid gold.
Travis doesn’t care for fame and fortune. At the end of the day it all comes down to the song. Always searching for that feeling a song gives when you have to play it over and over again with the windows rolled down while driving on a country road. A song that connects on such a level that it penetrates the soul. That’s country music. A story about light and dark, and a life lived in between. Travis only promises one thing with his music, truth. The way country music should be.
